Von Braun Center Renovations

Work began last fall on the first major renovations to Huntsville’s Von Braun Center since it opened in 1975. The $25 million project’s most dramatic change will be the arena’s new glass-wrapped entrance and lobby overlooking Big Spring Park.

Railroad Park Graphics

The new Railroad Park, which opens in July and is located between Birmingham’s historic urban core and the UAB campus, celebrates the importance of the railroad in the city’s founding. Graphics for the park will interpret that history, establish identity and provide visitor information.

Janice Hawkins Park, Troy University

A formerly empty parcel of land at Troy University between the new dorms and the student dining hall has been transformed into the first phase of Janice Hawkins Park. A bare pathway has given way to an inviting, properly lighted open space.
